Mental (Behavioral) Health
Everyone reacts to stress and traumatic experiences differently. While some have reactions that can be seen as normal responses to life events, others may experience signs or symptoms of more serious conditions.
Mental health and substance misuse conditions can affect anyone;
you are not alone. The Military Health System has many resources available to help those who need it.

14th MDG – Koritz Clinic: Mental Health Services
Our facility offers the following mental health services:
- Clinical intake & treatment planning
- Psychotherapy & education
- Specialty psychological assessment
- Substance misuse assessment and Level 1 care
Active-duty patients can self-refer for treatment and consultation. Patients can also be referred by their PCM or Commander. Family members and retirees may be seen on a space-available basis depending on their TRICARE health plan or other health insurance. Patients are also encouraged to utilize other support services including Military & Family Life Counseling and Chaplain Services. Non-medical, supportive counseling services are also available via
Military OneSource, which offers virtual tele-therapy to promote readiness and resilience.
What TRICARE Covers
TRICARE covers medically and psychologically necessary mental health and substance use care. This includes both inpatient and outpatient care.
