Public Health
Services are available for active duty, beneficiaries, retirees, and civilian employees. We provide food safety and sanitation for all base facilities and temporary food booths. Public Health monitors communicable diseases such as tuberculosis, animal bites, vector borne illnesses, and sexually transmitted diseases to ensure appropriate treatment is rendered. Other services offered include the travel medicine clinic, which is used for anyone who is traveling overseas on duty or for leisure. Deploying members are required to visit the Public Health Clinic 120 days prior to departure to be medically cleared. Occupational hazards in the workplace are assessed by public health technicians and members who are assigned to these duty locations must be cleared before beginning work. Audiograms are performed for health assessments when determined by a clinician and are provided on an appointment-only basis.
